Sniffle Benefits members have access to experienced counselors who help solve personal problems 24/7. Members can discuss everything from depression, anxiety and stress, to struggles with family, work and substance abuse.

How It Works

  3. Community resources include local bar association for legal assistance and consumer credit services for financial difficulties. Members are referred to a crisis hotline or their local 911 service for extreme situations.

How does the Dental benefit work? 

Locate a participating provider by using your Sniffle app or by calling the number located on your Sniffle Benefits Card. When scheduling an appointment identify yourself as an Aetna Dental Access® member. Show your Sniffle Benefits membership card at the front desk and pay the discounted total at the time of service. 

How many times can I use the Dental benefit? 

There is no limit to the amount of times this benefit can be used. 

Can this discount be combined with dental insurance? 

If your insurance company allows you to submit claims after service, submit the bill and claim to the insurance company for reimbursement as defined in your insurance plan. If your insurance company does not allow you to submit claims, the Dental benefit can only be used for services not covered by your insurance such as adult orthodontia, teeth whitening, cosmetic dentistry or services after your annual maximum has been met.

Benefit Provider Background

The Sniffle Benefits vision network is comprised of quality independent optometrists, ophthalmologists, and opticians, as well as high profile chains like LensCrafters, Pearle Vision, Visionworks, Sterling Optical, Target Optical, and JCPenney Optical. Completion and attestation of a confidential questionnaire is required before providers are added to the network. Each provider must pass verification standards before participation. Confirmation and primary source verification of the State licensure and the Liability coverage is required. This program provides quality eye care professionals and quality eyewear by mandating standards set forth.

Is this benefit insurance? 

No. This is a discount eyewear and eye care program. You will pay the discounted price at the time of the purchase. There are no reimbursements or paperwork to file.

Can I use this benefit if I already have vision insurance?

Depending on the type of insurance, the benefit may be utilized to reduce out of pocket expenses. For example, once the insurance benefit has been exhausted, you may use your discount to buy additional pairs of glasses or contacts.

Is there a limit on the number of times the benefit can be used?

There is no limit on the number of times you or your family can take advantage of the savings.

Can I use the benefit at any retail location?

No. To receive a discount you must go to a provider in the Coast To Coast Vision network.

What do I do when I get to the location to get my discount?

Be sure to show the participating provider your Sniffle Benefits membership card with the Coast To Coast Vision logo at the time of purchase.

What if the store is running a sale?

The discount cannot be combined with any other discounts or special offers.

The greatest savings and selection for contact lenses is offered through the mail order program. Replacement contact lenses are discounted at 10% to 40% below retail.

Lab Testing

Sniffle Benefits helps members monitor their health with 10% to 80% off typical costs of routine lab work. Sniffle Benefits members can choose from over 1,500 participating locations nationwide and order online or by phone. Test categories include allergies, vitamin, and cholesterol levels, liver function, fertility, thyroid, and more.

How It Works
  1. Sniffle Benefits members call or visit the website to schedule a service and place an order for a test. 
  2. Service representatives help members select a network provider and DirectLabs provides the order.
  3. Confidential test results are mailed, faxed, or uploaded to member accounts.
I feel healthy, so why should I get tested?

A serious medical condition such as heart disease, prostate cancer or diabetes can exist without noticeable symptoms for up to two years. Early detection is your best defense. A simple blood test can increase your chances of identifying potential medical conditions, and establish a baseline of your normal ranges from which future tests can be monitored.

Will this test be paid for by insurance?

This lab testing benefit service does not file insurance claims. Some insurance plans have a wellness or prevention benefit included. The lab testing service can provide you with CPT codes so that you may file for reimbursement yourself. There is no guarantee your claim will be reimbursed. Contact your insurance provider for your benefits and reimbursement options.

Do I need to see my healthcare provider to get tested?

Direct access testing allows greater participation in one's own healthcare. Your healthcare provider can refer you to one of the participating lab facilities, but it's not a requirement. However, you will be asked to provide the specific name of the test you wish to order. This service is not allowed to make any test recommendations. Participating lab facilities CLIA-certified and regulated by appropriate governmental agencies.

What is the testing procedure?

First you order your test online, through chat, or by telephone. You then print your requisition form which you must have with you when you go to the patient service center for your blood draw. The lab will not draw your blood without the requisition*. There, your blood is drawn by a certified phlebotomist. The results are received by our office generally within 24-48 hours for most tests and uploaded to your secure online account. 
*When you go to the lab to have your blood drawn, only take the requisition form and your photo ID with you. If you bring a requisition to a lab OTHER than the one provided through this service, you will receive a bill from the lab for which you will be responsible. Bring NO other requisition forms. If you go to another lab that is not included in the list of participating patient service centers, you will also be responsible for the bill from that lab. 

What is a patient service center?

Patient Service Centers are certified laboratories where patients have blood drawn. These centers are staffed by licensed phlebotomists, and are the same facilities referred to by healthcare providers.

Do I need an appointment?

An appointment is usually not required at most Patient Service Centers. You are encouraged to call the lab location to confirm their hours of operation and that an appointment is not required.

Will I be able to understand the results?

All test results include the normal reference ranges, with abnormalities indicated. It is recommended you seek a healthcare provider to discuss results outside normal ranges. For assistance in better understanding lab tests and results, please visit

When will I receive the results?

Please view test descriptions for expected turnaround time for each test. Most results are available in as little as 24-48 hours after your blood is drawn. You will receive an email when your results have been uploaded to your secure online account.

Will my healthcare provider receive a copy of my results?

Your privacy is respected and will remain confidential. You are the only one who receives the results unless you specify otherwise in writing. You can request to have a copy of your results sent to your healthcare provider only with a signed HIPAA release form giving us the authorization to do so.

DirectLabs® (DLS) is a leader and pioneer in direct access testing (DAT) since 1985. They offer online access to deep discounts off regular lab prices without a visit to the doctor and provide the necessary doctors order for blood testing needs. Will I always get a discount when I use my membership card?

Not necessarily. Each pharmacy determines their own retail pricing.

What if the pharmacy doesn't recognize the card's name?

Always make inquiries in person and be sure to bring your Sniffle Benefits card with you. If the pharmacy still has questions, have them call the Pharmacist Help Desk number on the back of your membership card.

Is this a co-pay insurance card?

No. This Sniffle Benefits membership is a discount card offering reduced prices. You are responsible to pay the pharmacy 100% of the discounted price.

How do I provide my prescription for home delivery?

GeniusRx only accepts prescriptions sent directly from a licensed prescriber, via secure fax, or sent electronically through electronic prescribing software. When you request for us to do so, we can reach out directly to your provider for your prescription or to your pharmacy for your prescription to be transferred, however, this may add more time to fulfilling your order.

How do I order my medications through GeniusRx?

Whether placing the order online or by phone, you will need to provide a payment method. A pre-authorization or "hold" will be placed on the credit card for the amount of your order. Your credit card will not be charged until we secure your prescription and ship your order.

Sniffle Benefits maintains a call center equipped to handle customized and general toll-free numbers answered by trained representatives. To meet the varying needs of our members, the call center maintains a full-time staff of English and Spanish-speaking Service Advocates, one Manager, and a Service Experience Coach. Our workforce is available to handle a wide variety of inquiries Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, and Saturday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Central Time. Sniffle Benefits members are welcome to leave a voice message after hours and calls are returned by a designated Service Advocate within one business day. Additionally, members can access benefit information and provider listings by logging on to the Sniffle Benefits Dashboard.

Quality Management

Quality management includes scoring of representative calls along with coaching that includes review of the recorded calls. Each Service Advocate receives two scored calls each week. Daily Monitoring

Inbound and outbound calls are evaluated for call quality and member satisfaction on a daily basis. Each Service Advocate is required to meet the assigned criteria specific to information provided, service skills and call documentation. Although the average talk-time is four minutes, our Service Advocates are encouraged to assist the member until all their questions have been answered.

Skill Training

Our Member Support Manager facilitates monthly meetings to educate and update our Service Advocates on new benefits, clients and overall procedure adherence to further develop dazzling customer service skills, proper phone techniques and to promote a team oriented environment.

Telephone Response System

Our phone system answers 99% of incoming calls within 3 seconds. Calls routed to the call center are answered within 30 seconds and our abandonment rate typically does not exceed 3%. Additionally, the system captures and monitors the number of incoming calls, abandoned calls, average hold time and the percentage of calls answered within our assigned service levels. Daily and weekly telephone reports are also closely monitored and analyzed by senior staff to recognize call trends and staffing needs.
